The grill is locked onto the cart via the red tabs which keep it securely locked in place. The red tabs allow you to remove the grill from the cart and use it away from home.
Weber also offers a half and full griddle for your grill transforming it into a flat-top grill. These accessories, while sold separately can be purchased at your local retailer or Weber.com. These accessories can be stored in the back of the stand when not in use.
Yes, the base of the stand is made of galvanized steel which resists rust in case it is scratched.
