Rotisserie is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst designed rotisserie ever I bought this for my new WEBER grille and could not believe that they made such a horrible product. To use, 5he left side table has to be lowered making it useless. It has to be lowered before you mount the motor bracket as you can’t lift the table out with it mounted. The handle of the spit is METAL not wood. I think that will be quite hot after several hours of cooking. Also, the spit sticks in the motor and does not come out without jerking it out. Might be a problem with several pounds of meat on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rotisserie - Low Clearance The rotisserie bar is so close to the grates (about 1 inch) that I had to remove the grates and rotisserie an average prime rib directly above the flavor bars, and even then the clearance was close.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from can’t cook a chicken What good is a rotisserie when a chicken won’t fit. Poor design. I had to take the flavorizer bars out from the middle and sit the drip pan on the center burner...did not turn the center burner on. Without doing this, the chicken would hit the drip tray pan. It wasn’t a big chicken either...just a few pounds. Very poor design...expect more from Weber and a $90 accessory.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I want my money back I bought a rotisserie basket and it will not work with this grill. There isn’t enough depth. Like other reviewers noted, you need to buy baby chickens to work. The only way is to remove the grates and flavorizing bars to work. That is not practical.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rotisserie has glaring design flaw!! The rotisserie bracket blocks the tray table from being lifted up and placed in position. IF you want to take advantage of the tray table you have to remove the bracket each time you use the rotisserie.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Design The side table must be lowered to accommodate the motor mounting. The rotisserie sits too low for even medium sized meats and suggestions to remove flavorizer bars, etc are unreasonable. Owned an older generation Weber and rotisserie that was excellent. As an engineer, I judge this design a failure and find it hard to believe this product made it through the evaluation phase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice quaility and easy install. Rotisserie sits too close to the grill and does not allow a free flowing spin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I bought a rotisserie but it is to close to the pan which sits on the flavorizer bars no enough clearance even for a small chicken. rotisserie needs to be raised any suggestions

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design makes rotisserie difficult and dangero This product needs a fat wooden handle like it used to be made. This model has a small diameter metal handle that is difficult to manipulate. So much harder to season the meat (whole small chickens) due to the small diameter. This handle also gets very hot when on the grill and stays too hot when time comes to take the meat off the spit. My old Weber wooden handle rotisserie is too short to fit my new Weber grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best quality on the market I love my new Weber grill. I agree with several other reviewers that the rotisserie is too low in the cook box as-is. However, I have a Genesis II with three burners and resolved this issue as follows: 1) I removed the grates, 2) I removed the center "flavorizer bar", 3) I put foil over the center manifold to protect it and catch the drippings, 4) I used only the two outer burners. That gave me plenty of clearance and I cooked a large chicken quite successfully.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the original The original one had a solid bar and the mounting bracket was not so close to the side table. The new one works fine but it’s not as well-designed as the original.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design--Limited Usage The rotisserie is poorly designed--I put a professionally trussed pork tenderloin on the skewer and took the grill grates off and put a low profile Weber foil pan under to collect juices. The tenderloin kept hitting the foil pan even when I bent the edges of the pan down. I had a wonderful Weber rotisserie set-up for my previous Weber gas grill that wore out after 10 years, I replaced the grill with the Genesis II of the same 3 burner heating technology because I loved the grill size and I kept the old rotisserie unit to use on the new grill. I have used the old rotisserie many time on the old grill including 3 fairly large chickens for a crowd of 12 hungry folks--all 3 chickens on the spit at one time. THERE WAS PLENTY OF CLEARANCE SPACE and I saved the juices in a pan for gravy. Now to fit the new Genesis II, I was FORCED to purchase a new rotisserie (because the old one didn't fit--why not I asked myself--its the same set-up(the holes in the motor bracket were the same on the old as on the new grill)-therefore the old spit must fit--no it was too short and doesn't fit the motor alignment). I made the purchase and found a new somewhat flimsy skewer shaft--have to screw it together from 4 pieces--all left hand threads--its some what wobbley. I centered the meat and the spear tines barely grabbed the out side diameter of the meat. I put it on the grill and the meat walked the foil pan--I wanted the juices for a gravy. No Luck--how could I ever do a turkey or a chicken or even the rotisserie ham you show in a tantalizing picture here on the Weber Site--there is no clearance. I cannot recommend this rotisserie, nor can I recommend the grill--they ARE MIS-MATCHED and some of your literature is mis-leading. Hey--why is there a metal handle of such small diameter that its HOT and tiny in a man's hand--the old rotisserie had a solid large wooden handle grip--do your people not know that metal conducts heat--Did anyone really test the grill and rotisserie combination? Well, it was Father's Day, we had friends in and I persevered, but I am highly disappointed and very concerned about your engineering and feel that I was duped and I will remember this as the Holiday that Weber let me down! Customers--Do Not Purchase this Rotisserie--I am stuck with a dog of a unit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought the rotisserie because I love grilled chicken! I made a trial run with a large chicken and it turned out perfect the first run! The rotisserie worked great and the instructions from Weber were spot on for Chicken! Great purchase, now I can add another dimension to cooking on my Weber Grill!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time! Got the rotisserie for Christmas. Used it last week for the first time. The chicken was perfect. Setup was really easy, and cleanup was a breeze. I did remove the grilles and flattened out the drippings pan, and had no problems with the chicken turning properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works just fine I have used mine 3 times now and it works well. It was sturdy and very well made. I would buy it again. My only problem with it is the same as with any of these home grill rotisseries. It is to loud. Can some one please make a quite motor for these things? Other than the noise it is fine and I'm happy to own it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rotisserie Review This rotisserie is OK but I think the one I had for my old Genius 2000 was better. The spit had a counter balence and better tines that this new one. However the motor on the new one is a better set up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor design and engineering The spit sticks in the motor and comes out only with wresting I anticipate years of pain on that. The extension may simplify your manufacturing and model compatibility, but it's another point of failure. The bracket is flimsy. And yes, it blocks the side burner. My Genesis Silver B rotisserie was better designed and made. Disappointed, Weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New product review Outstanding! The four prongs are much better than the old two prongs
Date published: 2018-07-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well. Not sure about 4 tines I already have one of Weber's rotisseries, and it had forks with two prongs to hold the meat. These worked well. The new version of the rotisserie has forks with four tines instead of two. Pushing four tines into the meat from each side does more damage than necessary to the meat, particularly for chickens. So, I have ended up using either the two tined fork or the four-tined fork depending on the application. Removable tines in pairs might be useful for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grilled Thanks giving Turkey!!! Because I had a larger than normal Thanksgiving crowd this year, along with my 22 lb. bird that I roasted in the oven, I decide to cook an extra 13 lb. bird on the grill. I bought the rotisserie, despite my wife thinking I was nuts, and it came out amazing. In fact, the crowd preferred it over the oven roasted turkey. Go figure? Thanks Weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love ALL my Weber Products I love all my Weber Products. Roasting 2 chickens on this is easy and they turn out perfect every time. I have a Weber Genesis II - 3 burner propane grill, and this is the perfect companion. I will never buy any other product but Weber. I can always count on the Warranty, and I can always get replacement parts. Simple to assemble, simple to use, simple to maintain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Well constructed and fits great on my Genesis grill...had to return others from other companies that claimed it would fit on my model grill, but didn’t. Only buy genuine Weber products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same Build Quality as the Grill I’m single and can occasionally have guests, but most of my uses will be on the smallish side and I may even be able to leave the grill grids in place. I’ll have to check on clearances. The quality of the unit matches that of the grill.
