My dad and I have had an on-going discussion on grilling with gas or charcoal, he grills with a Weber gas grill and I grill with a Weber charcoal grill. I keep telling him the food which is cooked with charcoal has such a better flavor to it than food grilled on a gas grill. His reason for using a gas grill is gas is more uniform temperature and is more reliable to get started. He has had charcoal grills in the past and has experienced problems with getting fires started and keeping a uniform temperature through-out the entire grilling process, so he has given up on charcoal grilling and gone to gas grilling.
