For our 1st anniversary, I bought my husband a Weber Kettle grill. It ended up being the best gift I ever bought for myself because he cooks such delicious food on it. This grill has survived 4 hurricanes, South Florida salt air, summer heat and torrential rains, around 1200 lbs of meat and all manner of caustic hot sauces and dry rubs. Tomorrow will be our 14th anniversary and sadly, the poor old grill has rusted through and is finally on its last legs. I guess if I want to keep him around another 14 years, I better go get another one. :) The best relationship advice I can give is marry a man who loves to cook and in the interest of marital harmony and mutual culinary satisfaction, make the first anniversary the Charcoal Anniversary.
