Smoke Jumbo Joe

Well guy and gals this is my 4th Weber grill I on a 22.5 Weber Smokey Mountain,Weber Genesis 330 gas grill, a 26.75 Weber kettle and last but not least i bought this 18.5 Jumbo Joe about 3 months ago. I don't think i will be able to buy another grill my wife might kill me but i had to add this grill to my collection. There are days when i don't to fire up my big kettle grill for just the two of us this Jumbo Joe fits the bill. I really love the quality of the Weber products. I've used it about 3 times now and i love this grill its perfect for those date days the with the family i cook some pork loin chops and chicken i will cook a pork butt on it soon. I try to find a reason to use it more but i work too much you can bet i will get around to it. I have Weber covers for all my grills except this one i wish Weber would make one for my Jumbo Joe and send it to me "hint"i have a lot of money tide up in all these grills and smokers. I'm sure i will have these babies for a long time great product guys keep up the good work.

Upgradeable and versatile grill!

I've been using a 14" store bought grill for the last year. Learned a lot and got pretty decent at cooking on such a small surface. Been kicking around the Weber stuff and after a trip to Home Depot ended up snagging one of these on amazon.

I wanted a 22"premium but we live in the city and have a small balcony so space was important. The nice thing about this unit is its big enough and heavy enough that you can actually cook on it. But doesn't take up so much room that it overtakes the space outside. Maintains a solid temp. I installed a temp gauge and upgraded to the flip up grate. It's awesome being able to grab accessories at ace hardware down the street!

I'll probably pick up the table but am considering other options.

What can you grill? Well. I've done beer can chicken, burgers, brats, corn, tons of veggies and this past weekend I managed to rotate three racks of ribs off it to feed 5 people plus crab legs and other stuff.

I use it nearly daily or as Chicago weather permits. The build quality lends me to think it's going to last a good amount of time. Plus like I said being able to just replace or upgrade parts is great.

Cons? Well I kinda wish it had the one touch system on it and may attempt to fit one. Aside from that I think it should have come with a temp gauge. It's a bigger size for a portable but you can do some serious cooking so it helps to have the gauge.

Griller, smoker, even a pizza oven. It's a great product and a blast to mess with. I'm sold on Weber stuff!

Fantastic Charcoal Grill - Just Awesome

The Joe Weber grill is a great little portable grill that goes everywhere. I take mine to the beach, tailgating, parks, work, and camping trips. The options for usage only had 1 day a week but I use mine at a minimum 3 times a week. I've had my Joe Weber for over 6 years and love it. I even bought an extra Joe Weber that sits in the garage as a back-up... My go-to grill is my 26inch Weber Kettle grill I use when hosting BBQs at the home. Weber grills are made very well and aforadable. I have not had any issues with the paint peeling off the porcelain on any of my Weber's. In closing, I would like to say, keep up the great work in producing the best bar-b-q grills on the planet. Grill on and keep'em hot...

Great Little Grill

I've had the Jumbo Joe for more than one year. However, due to a back injury I had only used it once. Recently, I purchased the Weber table to make using JJ easier. The rig was beautiful. I grilled enough food to feed an army. This is definitely the way to go if you are tailgating, at a park, beach, or have limited space/apartment dweller like myself.

right out of the box

Amazing put it together yesterday and today I slow cook a 5 pound pork butt. I followed weber advice about indirect cooking. Put it on this morning at 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. the pork was done to perfection. We had pulled pork for dinner and it was mighty tasty.

Perfection

I bought this grill a few months ago because my friend has a Weber smoker. He loves his and recommended I buy Weber products. Needless to say, I am a Weber fanatic now. This grill is fantastic. It's light weight and the handle makes carting this thing to the lake a breeze. It definitely holds the heat very well. I just bought a Weber chimney starter as well and it is another fantastic product that makes lighting lump coal easy. I will be definitely be buying more products in the future with my next purchase being a smoker.

Thanks for the great products!

Another Great product from Weber...

I got this grill for Father's Day to replace our 15yr old Smokey Joe. The old grill was too small to serve my growing family of four during our frequent camping excursions (during which we grill dinner every night out). The old grill also had flimsy legs, which I'd bent every which way over the years. Jumbo has all the great features of weber's portable units, but I absolutely LOVE the lid holder that both holds the lid for cooking and secures it during transit. The cooking space available is amazing, and overall the unit takes up very little additional space in our RV during the pack up. I can't wait to use it again and again over the years!

love my Jumbo Joe!

The size makes it! Even though I usually grill for only one or two, there is room to do indirect cooking. It's perfect.

I've been without a grill for awhile, so my first night out was such fun! It's also easy to clean up, which is necessary each time I use it as I live in an apartment. Now I just hope for some accessories, like a bag/cover and hinged grill that fits the Jumbo.

Great little grill

I bought this grill to take on a camping trip. I was debating the smaller gold vs the jumbo joe and I am so very glad i got the jumbo. The extra space was well worth it. I find the heat plenty easy to control with the bottom damper and just like my 22" i use at home it just works great. I have used it quite a bit since my camping trip as well since its big enough for every day cooking. Once football season starts I'm sure this grill will be getting a tailgating workout.

Too much is always better than not enough

I've got  one 22" and two 18"Weber Smokey Mountains, along with a Kamado ceramic grill and a Lodge cast iron hibachi, but for a quick grill of burgers and hotdogs, the Jumbo Joe can't be beat for versatility. All my 18" accessories work with it and if you want to double your grill space, just pick up a Weber Hinged Cooking grate and stack the Joe's grate on top of it upside down. Plenty of space for indirect cooking and three-zone smoking. With a charcoal chimney and some Weber paraffin tablets, you can take on anything from sausages to low-and-slow ribs. If you're stuck on a desert island, this is the grill to take with you.
