First let me say this is my forth large Weber since my first in 1977, that besides a string of Smokey Joes. I had been without a kettle for the last 2 years and was really jonesing for a new one when I saw the ad for the Master Touch series last week.
What can be said, it has all the features, the warming rack, the one touch system, a bowl for ashes, the gourmet cooking system. Add to that the convenience features, heat shield on the lid handle, hangers for your tools, the rubber handle on the top vent, and of course the lid holder, you just roll it back and it is there. Not to mention the free charcoal baskets and the cooking grate designed to add coals,Weber has pulled all the stops on this one.
I have been cooking on Weber kettles since the mid 70s, I have tried a lot of others but nothing grills like a Weber, and this is everything you love about a Weber on steroids.
I assembled it, and did a burn in, then I was right at home grilling dinner for the family. The quality is there in a day when most are cutting so they can sell more, Weber is still producing a product that will last for more years than you want to admit. Just picking up the grate and feeling its weight will convince you of that. Everything that has made the Weber name so big is still here. I knew that when I bought it, and I really know that now that I have grilled on it
