Best Charcoal Grill Ever!

This grill has been a pleasure right from the assembly. My past experience with cheaper grills, beside their short lives, has been the horrible assembly. Poor designs, confusing instructions, and missing parts have made me apprehensive and has kept me from buying a new grill for several years.

I am happy to say that the Weber Master Touch has saved me from my past experiences. The instructions were easy to fallow and all the parts were broken into several bags that followed each step. One bag per step. Most of all, all of the parts required were there! It was actually a quick and enjoyable process to assemble this grill.

Within a few hours of purchasing, my family and I were enjoying hamburgers and corn on the cob cooked on my brand new Master Touch. I can't wait to use it again. Maybe some chicken breast next.

Next year I'm adding a Smoky Mountain to my patio cooking experience.

Best bowie i've ever cooked on!

Most are unaware of the Weber story, so my bowie comment may through a few off?

I have been cooking on Weber grills for about 35 years now. Being born and raised in the Mid-South, everyone knows someone who is a self proclaimed professional Bar-B-Que cooker.

I have friends who's grills cost more than a new Harley, but I believe that my Weber can cook with the best of them.

Had the privilege of cooking for the National Pork Foundation at Memphis In May in 09'. We were set up right beside Weber's own National cooking team and representatives. (I couldn't even talk them into selling me a demo)! Had a large time with that bunch from Chi-Town!

I have cooked everything from $50.00 cuts of Black Angus to Eastern Wild Turkey, Whitetail Deer, chicken halfs, to road kill on my Weber. My absolute favorite feature is the "no flame" that comes from the design, best feature period. If your not using a Weber, don't insult this ol' country boys intelligence by telling me you're grilling!

Love it.

I got this grill a month ago and love it. Always wasted my time buying Walmart cheapo's, what a waist of time that was. I should have bought a Weber years ago.

Best of the Best

I absolutely love the Master Touch grill with it's Gourmet System.

It has the heavy duty rack, the lid stowing so you don't have to hang the lid on a hook and a lot of extras.

All of the attention to details right down to the wheels being upgraded make this the best of the Weber kettles.

Weber kettles are number ONE and this one is great.

I have a Genesis Gas grill along with a Q and others. I love the Weber product line.

Do your homework and this is the one you will find comes out on top

The best 3 legged Weber Kettle money can buy!

This Weber Master-Touch 22 inch charcoal grill is worth the extra money as it includes several useful features:

* Two charcoal holders for indirect/direct cooking
* Tuck-Away lid holder
* Large warming rack
* Gourmet BBQ system allows for accessories such as a griddle, wok or sear grate just to name a few
* Newly designed 8 inch all-weather durable rubber wheels
* Insulated handle on the lid vent

The included Gourmet BBQ system allows for some nice accessories and it includes 2 charcoal holders for indirect cooking. You can also use the charcoal holders for direct cooking if you move them together. The grill has an insulated handle on the lid vent, which allows quick adjustments without the need of a grill glove. The new style wheels are built to last, and the lid holder makes it quick and easy to take off the cover while cooking.

I'm very pleased with my cooking results so far. I've had it just a little more than a month and I've used it over a half dozen times already. It does a great job on chicken, steak, hamburgers, hot dogs and I even did a pork butt on it that came out great using the charcoal snake method.

I spent a lot of time researching which Weber grill to buy. I read many reviews and came to the conclusion that this model offered the best bang for the buck when you factor in the enhancements over the next lower model. Since Weber grills are built to last, I felt it was worth the extra cost as it would work out to be just a few dollars more per year over the life of the grill. I also recommend that you buy the deluxe cover for this grill as it too is of high quality and it does a great job protecting the grill when not in use. I should also add that it's a good idea to leave both the lid vent and the bowl vent open when you have the grill covered so that moisture does not get trapped inside.

In my opinion, this is the best of the 3 legged Weber Kettle grill models. It took me less than 45 minutes to assemble and all of the materials are of top quality. Cooking on this grill has resulted in great tasting meals every time. Buy one, you won't regret it!

Great Grill

I looked at lots of grills and had lots of problems with cheap grills. In 10 years I went thru 2 gas, 3 charcoal grills. All rotted out and no parts available as well as no burn thru warranty. Wanted a bigger grill than what I had which claimed 427 sq in. but wanted quality over size. Wife was like spend the money on a good grill that will last. We looked at every brand and always came back to Weber. There are 3 different 22" grills from Weber we looked at. 1st one was stripped down, 2nd one was good and then 3rd was was Cadillac. Wife wanted the warming rack which only comes in the Master Touch. I noticed the grate was part of the Gourmet series as well as heavier grate that opened for coals, 2 baskets and lid holder. I tried to price all the upgrades separate but couldn't find the warming rack and with all the upgrades I saved pretty good bit of money. I just lit it for first time and temps seem stable. Wife is preparing vegetables and steaks to go on grill. I like the 10 year warranty on bowl and the thickness of material. All in all I don't think there is a better deal out there as I got it for 199. Was afraid it would be to small since specs stated 363 sq in. but I put one grate from older grill on the center of grill and I have more grilling area. We will see how long this one will last.

Great Grill!

This is my third Weber grill, and second 22". We recently moved back to AZ and decided to get the 22" Weber vs a gas grill. We use it a bit more than once a week though! Really like this grill for doing just about anything and the size is really nice. Had a 17" prior. About the only thing I don't like is the plastic handles as my first Weber had wood handles and they didn't hold the heat like the plastic one do. The grill is well built, easy to clean up using a plastic putty knife and doesn't hold on to "gunk" like others. Would most definitely recommend this to anyone!

i love weber

just wanted to write and let you know I have had the same weber grill for 22 years and today I finally got another one which is a master touch. My in-laws gave us this red weber kettle grill right after we got married and had only used it twice in the ten to twelve years they had it. when we got it it was like brand new I have grilled burgers chicken and whatever else you can imagine on it. it has withstood snow, high winds, rain and I am still planning on using it for a back up when I need to .I am excited about my new master touch and I am hoping it lasts as long as my first one. I learned to smoke on this grill which is my main reason for buying it. while everybody else is using pellets I will be using real wood and charcoal forever it is the only way to go

Best Value of the Kettle type grills

I love this grill!!

The master Touch grill is well worth the extra $ compared to the other 22" Weber grills. First off - I checked a lot of other brands and no one has the quality of the Weber.
The Master Touch has several upgrades to it compared to the Classic and One Touch models.
The ash catcher is a must for me - I really don't like the tray because the ashes get all over the place.
That said, this eliminated the Classic model for me.
The One-Touch is great and a worthwhile grill, but the Master Touch as some really nice features making it worth the extra $50
Check out the difference between the cooking grates. The Master Touch has the extra heavy Stainless steel grate.
The Master Touch also comes with 2 side charcoal cans for indirect grilling which is a very popular and effective way to grill and smoke. The cooking grate also is hinged on both sides to allow for easy access to add charcoal.
Next feature that I really like is the lid holder. With the Master Touch, you do not have to try to find the little hook inside the lid to hang it on the side of the grill.
Finally, The wheels - not a big thing, but a nice upgrade from the standard hard plastic wheels on the other models
